This medicine is for SELF-MEDICATION in treating mild health problems of a transient nature that can be easily recognised and cured without medical assistance.
It can be bought without a prescription, but must be used correctly to lower the risk of possible side effects.

CENTELLASE 30 mg tablets

Total Triterpenic Fraction of Centella Asiatica

Ingredients
One tablet contains:
Active ingredients:
Total Triterpenic Fraction of Centella asiatica (asiaticoside 40% - asiatic acid + madecassic acid 60%) 30 mg.
Excipients:
Dibasic calcium phosphate dihydrate, docusate sodium,  povidone, croscarmellose sodium, carmellose sodium, magnesium stearate.


Form and contents
Centellase is available in tablets for oral use.
One pack contains 30 blister-packed tablets.

What is Centellase?
Centellase is a preparation containing total triterpenic fraction of the vasoprotector Centella asiatica.

When to use
Centellase is used to treat the symptoms of venous insufficiency and capillary fragility.

When not to use
If you suffer from hypersensitivity to the ingredients or other closely chemically-related substances.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Centellase should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.  Do not use if you think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant.

Precautions
No particular precautions.                           

Which medicines and foods can alter the effects of Centellase?
Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other medication.

Instructions for use
How much
1-2 tablets a day, preferably to be taken with meals.

Warning: do not take more than the recommended dose, unless advised to do so by your doctor.

When and for how long
Centellase tablets are best taken with meals.
Use only for a short period of time.
Seek medical advice if your disorder is recurring or if you have noticed a recent change in symptoms.

How
Swallow whole, washed down with water.

If you take more Centellase than you should
In the event of accidental overdose, inform your doctor or nearest hospital immediately.

Unwanted side effects
Cases have been reported of itching and photosensitivity (the skin becomes sensitive to sunlight, with redness and rashes) after oral administration of this product.

Careful compliance with the instructions contained in the package insert lower the risk of possible side effects.  Side effects do not usually last, although it is still advisable to seek the advice of your doctor or pharmacist.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you experience any unwanted side effects that are not mentioned in  the package insert.
Request and complete a form for reporting unwanted side effects (available in pharmacies).

Use-by-date and storage
Warning: do not use after the use-by-date shown on packaging.
Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Conserve the box and package insert carefully – it is important to have information on this medicine to hand at all times.
